Widuf for students
Version 2.0 · effective from [EFFECTIVE DATE]
Hi. These are the rules of your student account, explained briefly. They are offered by [COMPANY NAME], which makes Widuf. The student account exists only in classes in Chile.
These rules are in Spanish and English; both count the same.
1. Your parent opened your account
- Your mum, dad or guardian invited you with a code. Without that invitation there is no account. It is from 5th grade (5° básico) and age 10.
- Your parent sees the same as you, can change what you can do and can close your account whenever they want. If you have two parents in Widuf, both can.
- You can also close it whenever you want, in My account. We tell your parent.
- You can use it on up to two phones.
2. What you can see
Your timetable, the class test calendar, class events, your tests, your grades (the one the AI estimates appears after your parent reviews it), your study guides and some "Who brings what?" lists. You do not see money, or the other parents or classmates in the class.
3. No chatting here
- You cannot write to anyone and nobody can write to you here.
- What the adults in the class write goes through a filter, so it does not include phone numbers, emails, social media or links.
- If someone asks for your number or your social media, or something makes you uncomfortable, tap "Something's not right" and tell your parent.
4. AI is a helper
What the AI says (your estimated grade, your guides) is a helper and can be wrong. The grade that counts is the school's. To make your guides, we only tell the AI the subject, your level and the topics you should review: never your name or your photos. Nobody decides anything about you with what the AI says.
5. Look after your account
- Do not share your code with anyone: it only works once and lasts 30 minutes.
- Do not leave your account open on someone else's phone.
- If your parent lets you upload photos of your tests, upload only yours.
6. Your data
- We only keep what is needed to show you your information: your name, your month and year of birth and which phones you signed in on. You have no email or password in Widuf.
- We do not keep what you do in the app, there are no ads, there are no purchases and we do not sell your data. We do not compare you with your classmates.
- From age 14 you can ask us for a copy of your data or to delete it, by writing to soporte@widuf.com.
- All the details are in Widuf's Privacy Policy, section 11.
7. When your account ends
Your account ends if you or your parent close it, when the school year ends (your parent can renew it) and when you turn 18. Before you turn 18 we tell you: if you want to continue, you accept these rules yourself within 30 days; if not, it closes. Your grades stay saved in your parent's account.
8. If these rules change
If we change something important, we show it to you in the app first.
